Scott Brereton

Builder · McGill MBA · Montreal
I build products from idea to shipped software, and I sell them. In the last year I've put a tax receipt platform, an iOS wedding app, and an AI sales agent into production, while also delivering the best sales year in my company's 10-year history. I build on my own time. I build at work.
What I've Shipped
On my own
Small charities still do tax receipts by hand. This handles it for them: bulk CRA-compliant receipts, web and iOS, Stripe-powered. Has paying users with zero marketing.
Wedding planning app born from my own wedding. Went from idea to App Store in about a month.
Bootstrapped Etsy store selling vintage patent art. 7+ years running, top 1% of all Etsy shops, 2,000+ five-star reviews. Peaked at $75K/yr.
At work (Societ)
AI Sales Agent
Connects CRM to AI agents that qualify leads, draft emails, prep meetings, and debrief calls. My first real agent build.
AI Desktop Automation
MCP server extended with Java Access Bridge so AI agents can control legacy CRM desktop software. Nobody asked me to build this. I needed it.
+ 36 repos, ~2,800 commits in the last 12 months. AI podcast pipeline, civic tech with computer vision, full case management platform, nonprofit SaaS with billing and i18n.
Sales Results (2025)
Identified the real ICP through data analysis of 70+ deals. Rebuilt the go-to-market strategy from scratch. Took over 100% of sales personally.

What I Care About

I'm at my best going zero-to-one. Find the opportunity, build the first version, get it into people's hands. Early or growth-stage, smart teammates, real problems, autonomy to move fast. I have an MBA and can sell what I build, so I can own a product from idea to revenue.
